1.  What is Talk2You?

Lingmo Talk2You is an iOS and Android application that translates voice messages into other languages for recipients to listen to. It enables cross border communication to happen without language barriers and translates 2 way between 80 languages.

2.  How does Talk2You work?

We have made this technology very simple to use. The Talk2You App works directly from your smartphone. There are 3 simple steps:

i. Select your language

ii.  Connect with other Talk2You contacts

iii. Send your voice message that will be instantly translated into your contacts’ pre-selected language.

3.  How do I know if the recipient has received my message?

Like a SMS, once the message has been sent, it will appear as text on your chat screen and your contacts chat screen.

4.   Can people from another country get my message?

Yes, this software has been designed to be sent to people in different countries. As long as there is an active internet connection your Talk2You contacts can receive/send messages anywhere in the world.

5.  How long does it take for a recipient to receive a message from across the world?

We have designed this software to send/receive message in Realtime. We recommend you have an active 4G/5G or Wi-Fi connection.

7.  How Accurate is Lingmo Talk2You?

Talk2You leverages AI and speech recognition software that detect nuances and dialects enabling voice message to be translated contextually and therefore very accurately.

8.   Will Lingmo Talk2You understand my accent?

Yes. We recommended that you speak clearly and concisely is clear and concise to result in the best translation being received.

9.  What does Lingmo do about privacy and security of my audio content?

Understandably, safety and security of your voice messages is something Lingmo’s users are very conscious of. We understand the data that is provided to us for translation can contain sensitive information such as name, date of birth, address, bank details, credit card numbers and passwords. Lingmo do not collect, store or use any data in your voice messages. We are compliant with GDPR.

10.  Can Talk2You be used offline?

No, Talk2You always requires an active network connection to enable contextual and accurate translations.

11.  How does the group chat work and how many people can be in a group chat?

The Group Chat features enables the host to conduct a group chat with his/her contacts from around the world. When the host’s voice message is sent it the contacts within the group, the message is translated into each contacts preferred languages for them to hear. Each contact can reply back to the group and their messages will be translated into the language of each group member.
